RESUMPTION OF PHYSICAL CLASSES ON CAMPUS IN SEPTEMBER 2022

By way of preparation for the academic year 2022/2023, and the reopening of our North and South Campuses on 2nd and 15th August 2022 respectively, the institution has conducted a thorough risk assessment giving due consideration to the Ministry of Health's General Recommendations for Mask Use  . As a result, UWI-ROYTEC will continue to require all staff, faculty, students, vendors and visitors to wear facemasks to enter and remain on the premises, regardless of vaccination status.

This will remain in effect for academic term 1, 2022/2023, and is subject to change based on developments and/or further advisories from relevant authorities.

UWI-ROYTEC has put in place the following measures which are intended to make moving around as safe as possible:

  • social distancing markers
  • hand washing and sanitisation facilities
  • temperature testing
  • increased sanitising frequency
  • changes to how persons enter campus buildings
  • signs posted at each campus so that persons can be confident of what is required

We are closely monitoring the pandemic and health risk to all our stakeholders and will continue to act responsibly and in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister and Ministry of Health.

Further updates will be provided via our Facebook page/website/student and staff email.

We do hope that you follow the advice of the government and health officials and that you and yours continue to keep safe and well during this time.
