ROYTEC STUDENT WORKSHOPS:
All Student Workshops are offered by ROYTEC free of charge. Please contact the Student Welfare Office for further information on any of the following workshops. The Juggling Act (Finding Work, Life and Balance) is designed to help students identify problematic areas in their academic experience, get and stay organized, create a personal action plan, and develop appropriate academic support systems. 24 Hours Manage Your Time workshop helps students analyze and assess how to manage their study time, the importance of prioritizing, developing a plan, evaluating and cultivating study habits, living smart, and managing downtime and personal choices. The Find Yourself Graduate Workshop provides insight for the real world of work. This workshop includes modules to help students develop successful careers. Students are exposed to important elements needed for coping with “self” and developing self awareness, conflict resolution, dealing with the expectations, disappointments and personality clashes in the work place, while remaining focused and setting realistic goals. “No Sex..No Aids/Know Sex..Know Aids” This Workshop presents information on sexually transmitted diseases, abstinence/contraception, self esteem awareness and values. Students are exposed to sexual reproductive health and the rights of young adults and also the challenges faced by them in society. ROYTEC has hosted the “Know it to Grow it” financial planning sessions offered by The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago, Financial Literacy Division. This programme helps citizens to cultivate financial awareness as the basis for saving and investing wisely. The programme is an ideal starting point for young persons to develop responsible habits in the use of credit and money. The Cash Flow Workshop is presented by The Cash Flow Club of Trinidad and Tobago which is headed by ROYTEC Alumnus, Mr. Roger Moore. The Workshop is designed to assist students in improving their financial IQ and encourage entrepreneurship through the use of a 10-Step Programme. Participants will gain the opportunity to strengthen the rich person within and share ideas in an entrepreneurial environment. |
