The main aim of the Library is to provide information services to students. These services include the provision of additional learning resources to support programme delivery. The Library collection comprises:

• Academic Texts
• Journals
• Computer resources
• Video cassettes
• CD-ROMs
• Past examination papers
• Audio cassettes

Membership at the Library is free upon presentation of a valid Student Identification Card. Late fees will apply to resources not returned by the specified due date.
 

Photocopying services

Photocopying services are available via a vendor card which can be purchased at the Library in denominations of $10.00 and $20.00. Photocopies cost 50 cents per page (letter or legal size, black and white only) and are charged to the vendor card.
 

Printing services

High quality laser prints are available in black and white ($1.00 per page), partial colour ($3.50 per page) and full colour ($7.00 per page).
 

Computer use

Desktop computers are available in the Library for accessing past papers on the Student Intranet, internet research and searching Library CD-ROMs.

Online Library Services

ROYTEC students may access electronic resources from the UWI Library. Please be advised that this service is currently available from the North campus only. Access is quick and easy as a single search box allows the user to search subscribed and free content from databases, electronic journals and electronic books.

• Some of the databases that are available for research are: Psychinfo, Emerald, Ebscohost, Business Source Complete, Proquest, Academic Search Complete
• EBooks are available from sources such as: Ebrary, Gale Virtual Reference Library, MyiLibrary
• Electronic Journals are available in subject areas such as: Business, Economy and Management, Information Technology, Law, Social Sciences
